As for the white space, it'll likely become some dark grey or so. Maybe you could make the 'About' and 'Tune In' part stand out a little bit more by adding a small picture rather than that triangle arrow. The colours are fine for the theme. Hopefully the white space in the middle of the page will be changed to a similar colour to the theme. I love the logo and the title next to it. The layout seems ok. The middle of the header has quite a bit of space. I would move the Welcome message to there. I really like the theme.
