It’s finally here. After a long wait, season 2 kicks off with 12 minutes of pure epicness.

The listen page has been updated to contain a flash-powered media player with a playlist of all the episodes of season 1. The downloads will be put back up sometime soon. Now that I’m out of school, I’ll have some more time to devote to the podcast, which means… season 2 of the podcast is currently scheduled to begin next Saturday!

Update: Thanks to Mycro_chip for pointing out to me podcasts 2-20 weren’t loading. A code patch has been pushed out that fixes the issue. If they still will not load for you, try emptying your browser cache. If they still don’t after that, leave a comment here and I’ll look into it. Be advised some episodes do take time to load as they can run long.

Hey everyone,

Just a heads up, I’ll be messing with the theme and site a lot this weekend and will testing out different color schemes and graphics. If the site looks funky for a while and/or becomes unreadable, you know why I’ll probably turn on maintenance mode before I do anything super big so don’t freak out if you’re temporarily greeted by a white screen. I’ll be trying to make every effort possible to have the site finished this weekend.

Long story short, expect downtime and stuff breaking

Update: So how do you like version 0.3 of the theme? After a lot of fighting with the CSS, I was finally able to change the center to a different color. Only downside is now I’m fighting to get rid of the huge gap at the top where there used to be a graphic. It should look a lot less awkward once I get that figured out. It does changes a few plans though XD Anyho, thoughts on the update?

Plans for 0.4:

• Finish the pages (that means get season one put back up)
• Fight with margins and stuff in the css to fix the huge gap where some images used to be
• Stick a graphic in the footer???
• Make an album art???

First off, let me make this very clear, the site design is not done. However, before I go any further, I’d like some feedback.

What do you think of the theme so far?

What should be kept and what should be replaced?

What about the colors? Too dark? Too light?

What about the logo?

The layout?

Keep in mind it is not done and I’ll be considering every piece of feedback I get. Just leave it in a comment below.

PS: Please note, if you don’t see your idea taken into consideration, it might be because it is not possible.

PPS: If you know anything about theme design and Wordpress, the theme being used is a modification of the Garland theme if you wanted to take a look at how things work.

Update: Rolled out a small update, v0.2, which brings in a header fix, link colors, and menu items icon.

Some things I’ll be working on for 0.3:

• Make the header more attractive. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty damn boring right now.
• May or may not tweak the sidebars. If I do, it actually probably won’t make it in until 0.4.
• Change the color of the body area. The white sticks out too much.
• Minor footer tweak(s).

Did a little more work today. Sidebars are now working, more links to affiliates have been added, a translator widget has been added, and Wordpress is now working right after being upgraded to the 2.8 beta 2. That said, if the site breaks by mistake, you’ll know why

I’ll be working on the theme this weekend and hopefully get it up (or at least part). Once that’s done, I’ll post season one again for listening and downloading.

I’ve knocked off the first bit of site work, basic setup, get a theme that’s not the boring default one (even if it does seem to be acting up ATM), and reup the podcasts. I may have to reinstall Wordpress by hand as some things are freaking out on me, but I’ll probably just grab the 2.8 RC when it comes out. Links to the podcasts will go up hopefully soon but I want to get some design done first. They will be up before season 2 starts though

Update: Found the freaking out issue. Old cache XD Or maybe not.. Whatever.
That said, if something new is announced and you’re not seeing it, try refreshing your cache. I’ve installed a plugin that caches the site’s pages so things go faster.

Looks like you caught the site in the middle of the transition period to being Wordpress powered. I’m working on copying over all the old podcast files so please be patient. I hope to get the important stuff up soon and the custom design up soon after.
